VP, Merchant Services Sales
Responsible for directing the activities of treasury management sales officers. Will market and sell the entire range of department products and services throughout the organization’s geographical footprint.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry trends and develop a strong community presence and networking contacts in order to access potential clients.
Will have full overview of the department from a sales perspective.
Responsibilities:
Will have management oversight for generating income and sales opportunities by selling department products and services with a focus on meeting and exceeding established goals. May be involved in more complex, senior-level projects.
Will assist in the design and presentation of both internal and external sales and information seminars, workshops, and other presentations that promote the department’s products and services.
Will also participate in local industry organizational boards and committees where applicable, as well as cultivate in-market referral sources and enhance the organization’s reputation as a trusted provider of treasury services.
Will be responsible for determining and managing department-related sales strategies and programs and have authority over pricing and decisions at the client level.
Will be responsible for managing sales officer activities as well as directing best selling practices. Will monitor closed sale activities, provide feedback on best practices and areas for improvement, review monthly sales activities, ensure deadlines are met, and conduct annual performance reviews.
Will be responsible for onboarding, training, developing, managing, and promoting a team environment. Will be responsible for handling all human resources responsibilities including but not limited to staffing levels, hiring, firing, performance reviews, merit increases, etc.
Maintain open, direct, and continuing communication with senior management in designated territories and provide necessary support to divisions in meeting annual sales goals.
Will regularly attend appropriate sales meetings within designated areas of responsibility, provide training to staff in all aspects of department products and services, coordinate joint prospecting and calling with the market team, and periodically update local division management on sales activities and progress.
Will support department marketing campaigns. Will participate in the department budget and review process and foster positive and effective cross-functional relationships within the structure of the department. May be involved in developing department sales strategies, sales initiatives, projects, and department presentations.
Complete monthly sales reporting and regularly update management on documented sales calls, pending opportunities, and closed sales. Will be accountable for tracking and monitoring reporting and sales performance. Will participate in monthly staff and sales meetings, maintain updated prospect lists, and review monthly customer transactional activity. Will be responsible for completing expense reports on a timely basis.
